On Friday, March 10, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal co-hosted the U.S. India Commercial Dialogue. During the Commercial Dialogue, the Secretary and Minister discussed the Dialogue’s four priority areas for engagement: (1) supply chain resilience; (2) enhancing climate and clean technology cooperation; (3) advancing inclusive digital trade; and (4) facilitating post-pandemic economic recovery, especially for small- and medium-sized businesses. They also discussed ways to demonstrate our countries’ shared commitment to growing the economic and commercial relationship. Secretary Raimondo and Minister Goyal also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Semiconductors to advance U.S.-India cooperation in this critical sector.
